Many people have fresh garden vegetables that they have grown themselves. Nothing beats a fresh from the garden tomato! Alas most people don’t have the space to plow a full garden. If you don’t have the space to put out a full vegetable garden don’t distress. There are several options for you to consider.
Historically people have grown their viands wherever they could find the space to place a plant. It was no big surprise to see join loop beans climbing up the porch railings, or squash on the base between the petunias. This is now called cottage gardening, and means that you use any to hand space to plant your vegetable garden.
If you live in a old folks' with a small yard it is easy to create a mulch bed around the quarter where you can grow a few vegetables and flowers. Wouldn’t it be nice to not in harmony out your door and pick a fresh ripe tomato or blackberries? That is what cot gardening will allow you to do. You choose what to plant and where it will fit. The flip side of this fantasy is pot gardens. Large flower pots on the compass basis can be used to grow just about anything, in a small amount. Stick a small trellis into the pot and you have a climbing space for string beans or cucumbers. There are many things you can do in a negligible space with a little creativity and a desire for original vegetables.
If you happen to live in an apartment with no lawn enclosure or porch, you can still have a small garden. Placing pots in the windows or installing window boxes will qualify you to grow a few vegetables.
